Course Goal / Objective
To improve students' policy development and discussion skills by examining the aims, tools and effects of agricultural policies and their applications within the context of economic theoryand nationaland global economic relationsand constraints.
Course Content
Basic conceptsand issues; policy-economyrelations; state andmarket interventions; purpose, meansand decision process of economic policies; macroeconomic policiesand agriculture; State aids, causesand subsidiesin agriculture; the scope, objectivesand tools ofagricultural policies; generaland agricultural effects of intervention in agriculture; agricultural structure, production, price, market and income policies; foreign trade policies; globalization and agricultural policies
