Course Goal / Objective
General information about importance of toxicology in particular of entomology and effective and sustainable pest control, basic concepts of toxicology, types of toxicity in connection with Insect and Mite Toxicology, resistance and resistance mechanisms, and the use of the obtained information in pest control.
Course Content
Toxic materials used in pest control in agricultural production and general terminology related to them, the classification of insecticides and acaricides, their mod of action and entry ways into insects and mites, types of resistance developed against insecticides and acaricides, in general insecticides and acaricides and environmental issues covers the content of this course.
