Course Goal / Objective
The Documentary Filmmaking course aims to bring students together with new ideas, methods, examples, contents in order to produce successful, meaningful, original documentaries and to create documentary films by establishing a master-apprentice relationship. By strengthening the link between theory and practice, it is aimed to raise awareness about different traditions in the history of documentary film, to inspire them, and to develop different approaches to the subject.
Course Content
In the Documentary Filmmaking course, the history and characteristics of documentary cinema, documentary idea development strategies, documentary film production file preparation, documentary styles, digital documentary filmmaking techniques, pre-production, production and post-production processes of the documentary film will be discussed by strengthening the bond between theory and practice.
