Course Goal

The aim of this course is to teach general application fields of Biotechnology, Biotechnological methods and Animal Biotechnology.

Descirption of Biotechnology, history of Biotechnology and application fields, Structure and functions of genetic materials (DNA, RNA), Bacterial DNA and viral DNA, Gene expression, Extrachromosomal genetic elements (Transposons, Plasmids), Recombinant DNA technology, Biotechnological vaccines, In vitro amplification of nucleic acids, Biotechnological methods used in the diagnosis of diseases, Trasngenic animals, Cloning techniques in animals, Embryo transfer techniques in animals
