Course Goal

To teach magnetization and magnetic moment concepts, effects of magnetic field on health, classification of magnetic materials, application areas of magnetic materials in technology and teaching method of magnetization measurement.

Course Content

What is Magnetism, How Does a Magnetic Field Occur, Effects of Magnetic Field on Health, Relationship Between Electric and Magnetic Fields, Magnetic Materials, Classification of Magnetic Materials, Ferromagnetic Materials , Paramagnetic Materials, Diamagnetic Materials, Magnet Types and Usage Areas, Fields of application of magnetic materials , How Is Magnetization Measured, Temperature dependent magnetization measurements, Field dependent magnetization measurements
