Course Goal

The aim of this course is to enable students to comprehend the origins of ocean troughs-waters, general characteristics of oceans and seas, geological, chemical, physical, biological oceanography and marine technology.

Course Content

General characteristics of oceans, physiography of the ocean bottom, sedimentation in oceans, general composition-properties of sea water, synoptic-dynamic physical oceanography, marine ecology and living communities, marine resources, utilization of these and equipment used in oceanological research.
