Course Goal

To recognize and appropriately manage emergency and elective surgical problems in pediatric patients.

Course Content

Liquid electrolyte therapy and parenteral nutrition, inguinal canal and diseases in children, acute abdomen and differential diagnosis in children, traumas, burns, anomalies of gastrointestinal system (GIS) diseases in infants and children, surgical diseases causing respiratory distress in children, foreign bodies, urinary tract infection, children common genital problems: childhood solid tumors: Esophageal damages caused by drinking caustic substances.
