Course Goal / Objective
The purpose of this course is to support the learning of qualitative research techniques by the graduate students.
Course Content
Students acquire planning skills in a small project based on qualitative research in science education. In this context, the definition of the qualitative research and its place in the scientific research tradition will be discussed first.In the next step, information about the qualities and types of qualitative research (fenomenology, theory formation, ethnography, situation research, action research) will be given and examples will be shared in the lesson. This will focus on the planning of qualitative research, the creation of research questions, data collection methods, validity and reliability, data analysis and the use of qualitative research results
