Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is (a) to determine what theory is and what the theories do, (b) to evaluate how the phenomenon of organization is defined in different ways, (c) to examine how organizational theory affects human behavior and practices, (d) to explore the relationship between organizational theory and practices, (e) to reveal different theoretical perspectives, their assumptions, and how they explain organizational phenomena.

Introduction: Organizations and Organization Theory, The External Environment, Interorganizational Relations, Designing Organizations for the International Environment, Strategy, Organization Design, and Effectiveness, Organizational Culture, Innovation and Change, Information Technology and Control, Organization Size, Life Cycle, and Decline
