Course Goal

Thought, philosophy and the formation of sciences, the basic disciplines of philosophy, epistemology, the basic subjects of philosophy of science, the problem of the possibility and limit of knowledge in the context of the fundamental problems of philosophy, the problem of source of knowledge, the logic, the problem of deduction, the problem of induction, the analogy, metaphor, causality and aim, reality , validation, falsification, documentation, language and validation, method and verification, historiography, relativism debates, theory-fact relations, New pozitivism-Vienna Circle (Carnap-Ayer), Popper's philosophy of science, Thomas Kuhn's philosophy of science, current status of knowledge problems

Course Content

Fundamental problems of knowledge philosophy: Possibility and limit of knowledge, sources of information, validation, current status of sciences, current paradigms and discussions about epistemology.
