Course Goal

Dersin amacı öğrencilere, ılıman iklim meyvelerinin tropik ve subtropik bölgelerde yetiştiriciliğini ve yetiştirme tekniklerini anlatmak ile bu alanlarda ılıman iklim meyveleri yetiştiriciliğinin avantaj ve dezavantajlarını tartışmaktır.

Course Content

This course covers the distribution of fruit trees in subtropics and tropical regions, the cultivation of temperate fruits in these regions and the limiting factors. The climate, soil, irrigation requirements, pruning methods, flowering and fruiting characteristics, and possible diseases and pests of drupe, hard-shelled, pome and berry-like fruits grown in these climatic conditions are explained.
