Course Goal

To teach the diseases caused by plant pathogens in the host plants, the disease agent-host-environment relationship, the life cycle of vectors carrying disease agents, and the effects and consequences of global warming on diseases.

LO02 Learns the effect of disease agent, host plant and environmental factors on the disease in detail within the scope of phytopathology.

LO05 Gains knowledge about the effects of temperature on plant physiology, biotic factors and increases and decreases in disease severity caused by temperature rise. Have information about the reactions of plants to regional or general temperature increases caused by global warming and changes in plant fauna.
LO06 Gains knowledge about the life cycles of vectors that transmit disease factors of global warming and the effects of vectors on changes in active periods.
LO07 Learns the measures to be taken against the increase in diseases caused by global warming.
LO08 Learns how to develop control methods against to new disease appear due to global warming. Learns what needs to be done to prevent or slow down global warming
