Course Goal

In the COVID-19 pandemic process experienced all over the world, zoonotic diseases, which are very important in terms of animal health and public health, are gaining importance day by day, especially with the adoption of one medicine, one health approach. In order to be ready for new epidemic processes that may occur in the future; In the field of one medicine, one health, it should be ensured that molecular diagnostic methods of bacterial and fungal pathogens are known, followed by drug resistance, and new techniques should be added to these techniques with biotechnological studies in order to manage epidemic processes. Our aim in this course is to contribute to this awareness at the master's and doctorate levels and to provide information about the molecular methods that can be used for the diagnosis, characterization and follow-up of zoonotic disease agents.

Course Content

Bacterial and Fungal Zoonosis Diseases covers the description of the methods that define these diseases, determine the drug resistance of the agents, and perform phylogenetic relationship and variant analysis.
