Course Goal / Objective

In the frame of this course, properties of magnetic materials and its theories will be explained

Course Content

Magnetic field, Orijin of atom and ions, diamagnetism and paramagnetism, clasical and quantum mechanical aproaching, mean field theory, exchange interaction and spin hamiltonian, solution of spin hamiltonian, ferro- and anti-ferromagnetism, spin glasses, localized magnetic maoments, RKKY interactions, Kondo effect, Spin glasses and their magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, specisific heat and resistivity, spin glasses theories and comparison of experimental results, electron-spin resonans, nuclear resonans
