Course Goal / Objective
To comprehend dosimetric material production methods, to give information about luminescence types.
Course Content
Dosimetric materials and types of dosimeters, The production methods of dosimetric material, Introduction to luminescence and luminescence types, Band model in solids, Crystal defects and traps, Creating crystal defects, Point, Line, Surface and volume defects, Thermoluminescence (TL) theory, TL kinetics (first, second and general order kinetics), Methods for calculation of kinetic parameters, TL measurement systems, Error calculations.
