Course Goal

To comprehend the meaning of active tectonics, to explain the place and importance of active tectonics in geology, to evaluate current geological events in this context.

Course Content

History, basic concepts and definitions. Explaining the relationship between earthquakes and active tectonic processes. Tectonic structures developed under active tectonic control. Landforms, Tectonic Geomorphology and Quaternary activities. Determination of active tectonic structures.
