Course Goal / Objective
Investigation of behavioral changes of soils against thermal changes
Course Content
Factors controlling the heat flow in the ground. The effects of heat capacity and heat capacity on soil behavior. Investigation of behavior of soils under thermal loadings. Relationship between volume change and consolidation and heat capacity. Mechanical effects of long and short period heat changes on soils. Engineering evaluation of the ground-heat balance
