Course Goal / Objective
Teaching of soil analysis and problems in cold climate zones
Course Content
Effects of frost on soils. Factors controlling freezing in soils. Investigation of thermoosmosis in soils. Determination of freezing zone, freezing speed and frost line and determination of boundary conditions. Effects of frost thawing on soils. Performing frost penetration studies. Determining the measures against the damages caused by the Don incident.
