Course Goal / Objective

To give detailed information about methane gas and measurement against it.

Course Content

Origin of Gas in Coal, Retention Mechanism of Gas to Coal, Emission Mechanism of Gas into Workings, Desorption Mechanism of Gas from Coal, Measurement of Methane Content of the Seams, Determinetion of Methane Control Requirements, Explosive Character of Methane, Preventive Measures against Methane in Coal Mines.
