Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach free groups and certain group presentations to the students.
Course Content
In this course free groups, Schreier's Method, Nielsen's method, free presentations of groups, Some popular groups, the Quaternions, the Heisenberg group, Symmetric group, semi-direct products, finitely generated abelian groups and coset enumeration are descibed.
