Course Goal / Objective
To discuss the semantic dimension of the house within the scope of meaning in architecture, to determine the elements that make up the meaning in the house.
Course Content
Dwelling; beyond being a functional element; Based on the idea that it is a tool in social communication; approach to housing and human relations from a different point of view, in the light of this approach; nonverbal communication (nonverbal communication) between the house and people, which occurs within the framework of certain assumptions, signs belonging to the user in the house indoors and outdoors, the messages that the house conveys with its immediate surroundings, and the messages that change and diversify in different types and types of residential environments.
