Course Goal

Gives information about classification, origin, occurrence, chemistry and toxicology of toxins responsible for scombroid and ciguatera fish poisoning and, paralytic, neurotoxic, amnesic and diuretic shellfish poisoning toxins such as saxitoxin, neosaxitoxin,gonyautoxin, ocadaic acid acid, tetrodotoxin, domoic acid and brevetoxin and their disease symptoms, control measures and detection methods

Course Content

Toxins responsible for scombroid and ciguatera fish poisoning and, paralytic, amnesic, neurotoxic and diuretic shellfish poisoning toxins such as saxitoxin, neosaxitoxin,gonyautoxin, ocadaic acid acid, tetrodotoxin, domoic acid and brevetoxin and their disease symptoms, control measures and detection methods
