Course Goal / Objective

To introduce the types of lagoon in the wetlands, to introduce their types according to their formations and structures, to give information about their biological, chemical and physical properties and living communities; seasonal fish migrations that have occurred and the main reasons for this, evaluation of the fishing aspect, the main coastal lagoons and types in Turkey, the importance of aquaculture production in the lagoon fishing, to teach and contribute their share.

Course Content

The physical, chemical and biological features of lagoon systems; types of lagoon systems and water quality; lagoon fisheries and fish production techniques, lagoon systems and structure in Turkey; addressing the problems of lagoons.
