Course Goal

The purpose of this course is to give basic information on the cytological and cytogenetical characteristics of forage crops

Course Content

This course deals with the subjects on the forage crops such as karyotype analysis and phylogeny, chromosome numbers, accessory, supernumerary and B- chromosomes, polyploidy, aneuploidy meiosis, interspesific and intergeneric hybridization, inheritance of quantitative and qualitative characters, variations in natural populations and apomixis
