Course Goal

The aim of this course is to give advanced theoretical and practical knowledge about fiber, yarn and fabric mechanics which are the basis of Textile Engineering.

Course Content

Within the context of Textile Materials Mechanics course, which is given at the level of master and doctoral education, it is expected that higher education students will gain the following subjects. SECTION-I: FIBER MECHANICS, PART-II: YARN MECHANICS, PART-III: FABRIC MECHANICS

LO01 Students assumes advanced theoretical and practical knowledge about fiber, yarn and fabric mechanics which form the basis of textile engineering education at the level of Master and / or PhD.
LO02 Understands the physical and mechanical properties of fibers, which are the basic building blocks of textile engineering.
LO03 Distinguishes and evaluates the structure and properties of the yarns in semi-finished form in textile engineering and their mechanical behavior.
LO04 Distinguishes surface / fabric formation techniques in textile engineering and their mechanical behavior and usage areas according to their properties.
LO05 Categorize the fiber, yarn and fabric structures by considering their mechanical properties and behavior.
