Course Goal / Objective
To explain fabric quality control in weaving mills, to introduce woven fabric defects, to give information about defect causes and solutions, to teach classification of fabric quality according to demerit point systems, to teach statistical evaluation of fabric defects and to establish a quality system in weaving mills.
Course Content
Quality control in weaving mills. Classification of woven fabric defects. Introduction of fabric defects, their causes and solutions. Analysis of flow chart, pareto analysis, cause-effect diagram, brainstorming methods in the statistical evaluation of fabric defects. The use of control charts in the statistical evaluation of defect counts. Quality control form creation, development and application studies with business examples. Demerit point systems and classification of fabrics. Arrangements to be made to control the sustainability of the quality level, to control the process and to reach the target product quality.
