Course Goal

Learns the role of heavy metals in soil and plant.

Course Content

Factors affecting the level of heavy metals in soils and their availability to plants. Heavy metal contamination in soils; heavy metal absorption, transport and accumulation in plants; The emergence of heavy metal toxicity and leaf symptoms and toxicity limits. Mechanisms developed by plants against heavy metal toxicity and genotypic differences.
