Course Goal

Learns the importance and methods of bringing the genetic yield level of the population to better levels in terms of one or more characteristics in order to increase the productivity levels in farm animals.

Course Content

Adaptation, Phenotypic variation, Heritability, Repeatability, Selection, Breeding value, Intergenerational time, Breeding systems, Inbreeding, Heterosis, Modern breeding strategies.
