Course Goal

To teach to the students the molecular genetic techniques applied in farm animals breading and research activities, bring application skills to them

Course Content

Use of genetic laboratory and basic principles of working in the laboratory. DNA isolation from animal tissues, PCR, electrophoresis, investigation of yield related gene regions, genetic diversity, RFLP and SNP analysis used in mutation scanning, microsatellite analysis, new generation sequencing technologies, RT-PCR applications
