Course Goal / Objective
To be able to analyze the basic bioelectric and biomechanical phenomena in the cell with biophysical methods
Course Content
Structure of atom, intermolecular forces, diffusion, osmosis, structure of cell membrane, transport of matter through cell membrane, mechanism of formation of resting membrane potential and Nernst equation, GHK equation and stationary state, ion channels, channel blockers, microelectrode, voltage-clamping and patch-clamping methods
