Course Goal / Objective
Defines the anatomical parts of the autonomic nervous system, neurotransmitter and receptor types of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. Clarify to the synthesis, release, degradation and neurotransmitters of neurotransmitters in the Autonomic Nervous System. Explain and compare to the drugs that affect the autonomic nervous system by comparing their mechanism of action, side effects and contraindications.
Course Content
The anatomical parts of the autonomic nervous system, neurotransmitters of autonomic nervous system, the biosynthesis of autonomic nervous system neurotransmitters, their effects, mechanisms of action and drugs that affect the autonomic nervous system.
