Course Goal

In this course, it is planned to explain the history, culture, agriculture, economy, trade of olive and olive oil, the use and tasting of table olives and olive oils. The aim is to provide students with useful information and to give them the ability to make decisions about aquaculture and quality production.

Course Content

Olive and olive oil cultivation in the world and in Turkey is explained. Information on the history, producer countries, economy, place in culture, use and quality of table olives and olive oil, which is the most important plant of Mediterranean countries including Turkey, is discussed.
