Course Learning Outcomes
Order | Course Learning Outcomes |
---|---|
LO01 | Inspection of Gamma Cameras, which are the most used detectors in Nuclear Medicine, and to learn about the purpose, principles and processes of routine quality control. |
LO02 | The purpose of radionuclide imaging is to obtain an image of the distribution in the organ or organs marked with this radioactive substance in the body after a radioactive substance is administered to a patient in various ways. |
LO03 | The basic principle is that the source organ radiates and gamma detectors detect these rays and create an image. |
LO04 | In gamma cameras, gamma photons emitted from the organ are directed by the collimator and dropped onto the detector element, thallium, activated sodium iodide crystal NaI (Tl). |
LO05 | The collimator is the element in front of the crystal in the gamma camera in order to direct the gamma rays coming from the organ to the detector, and to absorb the gamma rays that are outside of it and the gamma rays that are scattered by the compton. |
LO06 | It is used to increase the clarity (resolution) of the image. In the production of collimators, lead etc. are used because they absorb gamma rays well. heavy elements are used. It is the element located in front of the talin. |
