Course Goal / Objective
It aims to use map in forestry applications, to distinguish it from the map, to be able to read maps and to determine the location on the map and map.
Course Content
The importance of the forest in forestry; Measurement units, Scale concept, Map types and classification; Map edge information and special signs, Map segmentation; Map Coordinate Systems; Utilization from Maps, Placement of Maps; Usage and Evaluation of Topographic Maps (Equivalent Elevation, Slope Calculation, Coordinate and Distance Measurement, Area Calculation, Finding of Kotlar and Interpolation, Coordinate Calculations); Sectioning from Maps; Digital Maps, GPS (Global Positioning System); GIS (Geographic Information System).
