Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to evaluate the place of women in antique society and their similarities to present day.

Course Content

This course consists of examining the position of women in ancient Greek and Roman societies according to the archaeological findings.

LO01 First of all, from a methodologically based ancient sources in an interdisciplinary context, the view of women in their era.
LO02 He analyzes the process of transition from matriarchus to patriarchy from the mother goddess to the late antique.
