Course Goal

The course concerns changing human societies in late Pleistocene and early Holocene times, and the beginnings of food production in different pats of the world.

Course Content

The lecture first describes the different hunter-gatherer societies in the Late Pleistocene, then the different food-producing societies in both the Old World and the New World in the Holocene.
