Course Goal / Objective

To ensure that teacher candidates have knowledge about the purpose, importance, function, scope, types of guidance services in different organizations and especially schools, organization in guidance services and the duties of school personnel and gain the understanding of guidance.

Course Content

Educational place of guidance and psychological counseling services; philosophy, purpose, principles and program of developmental guidance model (comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program); basic services / interventions; the role and function of teachers in class guidance; Competencies to be gained in educational, professional, personal and social areas within guidance and counseling services; co-operation between school administrator and teachers, counselor and psychological counselor; preparation and implementation of class guidance and counseling plans and programs.
