Course Goal / Objective

Primary objectives of the course are to teach students: a) fundamentals of groundwater hydrology, occurence of groundwater, its importance in the hydrological cycle; b) aquifer types and how to determine hydrogeological parameters of aquifer under steady-state and unsteady-state conditions; c) how to utilize groundwater resources without impairing sustainabilityu of natural resource.

Hydrologic Cycle; Importance of Groundwaters (GW) in Hydrologic Cycle; Distribution of Water in the Globe, Groundwater Movement and Governing Equations; Water Budget Elements; Groundwater Dynamics and Changes in GW Elevation; Aquifer Types; Steady-State and Unsteady-State Conditions; Well Hydrolics: Determination of Hydrogeolojical Parameters Under Steady-Satate and Unsteady-State Conditions; Groundwater ; Groundwater Legislation
