Course Goal

After learning the basic concepts and principles in analytical chemistry, it is aimed to be able to make the necessary calculations and how to do the qualitative and quantitative operations applied in the analysis. In addition, it is possible to determine the significance of the analysis results they have obtained and to evaluate them statistically.

Course Content

Analytical chemistry is an applied science that examines and explains the structure of matter, in other words, examines the components that make up matter and their quantities. Within the scope of this course, students solve problems by using their theoretical knowledge on the basic concepts of Analytical Chemistry, concentration units, equilibrium constants, activity, solubility, acid - bases, pH, buffers, gravimetry, volumetrics and titrations. Analyzes quantitatively with various titration techniques (acid-base titrations, carbonate-bicarbonate titrations, reduction-oxidation titration (permanganimetry) and complexometric titrations) in the light of theoretical knowledge.
