Course Learning Outcomes

Order Course Learning Outcomes
LO01 Understands the fuels used in internal combustion engines.
LO02 Gains the ability to solve the problems of mixture formation, evaporation and combustion in the combustion chamber.
LO03 Defines alternative fuels such as renewable fuels, biomass, hydrogen, alcohol fuels, petroleum-derived alternative fuels.
LO04 Learns the effects of different alternative fuels on engine performance, injection, combustion and emission characteristics.
LO05 Establishes chemical reaction equations for combustion, analyzes real combustion events in gasoline and diesel engines.
LO06 Calculates air fuel ratios and air excess coefficients, calorific values of fuels, calculates constant volume and constant pressure combustion, learns to calculate adiabatic flame temperature.
LO07 Gains knowledge of distillation characteristics such as flash point, cold filter clogging point, which are revealed as a result of fuel analysis.
