LO02 It identifies the basic elements of disorders, disability and systemic problems that may affect the oral health and oral function of individuals who require special care.
LO03 Recommends non-cariogenic nutrition and diet for individuals requiring special care.
LO04 Knows desensitization and therapeutic behavioral approach for dental care in individuals requiring special care.
LO05 Provides oral hygiene training in individuals who require special care, has command of the use of oral hygiene tools and brushing in individuals who require special care.
LO06 Knows the treatment of dental caries in individuals who need special care.
LO07 Knows preventive dentistry practices in individuals who require special care. (such as ART, fluorine / silver fluorine application, pit and fissure sealant application)
LO08 Has knowledge about oral pathologies that are common in individuals requiring special care. (bruxism, dental erosion, bleeding gums)
LO09 Knows pharmacological patient management in individuals who require special care (general anesthesia, sedation…)
LO10 Can educate parents/caregivers of individuals who need special care about dental health.
LO11 Makes risk assessment of individuals requiring special care and knows how to plan their treatment.
LO12 Knows to work with different occupational groups and to consider the benefits of this in the evaluation of individuals who need special care.
LO13 Knows to organize and direct the treatment of individuals who require special care according to comorbid disease.
LO14 Knows the responsibility of providing care or referral to another physician for individuals who need special care with complicated treatment needs.
