Course Goal

In this course, students will be introduced to the philosophy of art and the discipline of aesthetics. The main issues of aesthetics and major philosophers will be discussed. At the end of the semester, students will be able to discuss the development of art from a conceptual point of view, will have the ability to discuss and evaluate the basis of art styles and works of art, and will have information about the social, ideological and philosophical connections of art.

Course Content

It is to provide an introduction by examining the written examples of art philosophy and aesthetics and to establish a link between the past and present of art philosophy.
