Course Goal

The main aim of the course is to provide students with the ability to construct linear and nonlinear regression models related to finance or macroeconomics and to evaluate the results of forecasting models.

Course Content

Simple linear regression, multiple regression, indicator variables and bounded dependent variables, simultaneous-equation models, time series analysis, model building techniques when classical assumptions do not comply with observational assumptions, econometric model applications for economic data in economic hypothesis testing.
