Course Goal

It is aimed to comprehend the relations between living and non-living things in nature and to gain awareness of ecosystem and sustainable life.

Course Content

Ecosystem concepts and principles; ecosystem definition and elements, ecosystem dynamics, productivity and measurement in ecosystems, natural and agro-ecosystems and food production systems and crop production. Effect of environmental factors at the level of primary producer (plants); basic principles in the response of plants to the environment, light-plant relations. temperature and plants; energy flow and plant temperature, heat-plant relations. Atmosphere and plants, water and plants, soil and plants, plants and other living things.
