Course Goal / Objective

Evaluation of the structure of autonomous robotic systems, examination of the mechanical, electrical, electronic and software systems of autonomous robots and providing an understanding of their structural characteristics

Course Content

Introduction to autonomous robot systems. Elements of autonomous robot systems. Mechanical, electrical, electronic and software systems of autonomous robots. Sensor and navigation system development for autonomous robots. Control architectures for autonomous robot systems. Behaviour based robotics. autonomous robot control and sensor fusion. Sensor controller interface and data acquisition.

Course Precondition

Requires basic knowledge of robot systems and related mechanics, electronics, sensors and actuators as well as software structures.
