Course Goal / Objective

Understanding the basic purification methods and establishing some basic organic reaction mechanisms, obtaining the product, determining the structure by product purification and FTIR analysis

LO05 Understands the extraction method, using this method, it can separate a painkiller tablet into its components.

LO08 Synthesizes n-butylbromide, learns the SN2 reaction mechanism, can purify the product and determine its structure.

LO10 Syntheses 2-hexanol, learn how to eliminate mercury element, purify the product, determine its structure by FTIR analysis
LO11 Perform halogenation experiment of alkanes, learn MSDS information of bromine element, comprehend halogenation reaction
