Course Goal

Properties of matter. Closed systems thermodynamics. First law analysis. open systems thermodynamics. Second law analysis.

Course Content

To teach the basic principles of classical thermodynamics. To give students the ability to define, formulate and solve fundamental thermodynamic problems related to closed and open continuous flow or unstable smooth flow systems.
