Course Goal

Within the scope of the course, it is aimed that the students will be equipped with the operation of treatment plants and gain the ability to operate wastewater treatment plants and to develop alternative solutions to the problems to be encountered.

Course Content

Operation and maintenance problems in treatment plants, operation and maintenance problems that may be encountered in pre-treatment units (grids, sieves, grinders, sand traps, flotation), activated sludge system, operation and maintenance problems that may arise in activated sludge systems and investigation of solutions, operation and maintenance problems that may arise in trickling filters. maintenance problems and solutions, rotating biological reactors, sludge treatment and possible operation and maintenance problems and solutions, package treatment and possible operation and maintenance problems and solutions
