Course Goal

Determination of isedimentary rocks by using thin-section and hand specimen, identify petrographical and textural properties of sedimentary rocks, classification, to gain the ability to examine the sedimentary rocks under polarised microscope and using hand specimens.

Course Content

Main properties of sedimentary rocks, sedimentary rock cycle, textural analysis of sedimentary rocks. Classification and nomenclature of sedimentary rocks.
