Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students with the basic technical knowledge on the analysis and synthesis of the effects of external forces on machine structure in the second phase of machine design.

Course Content

In this course; machine design, machine dynamics relations, basic concepts, static force analysis in simple-compound machines, friction forces, dynamic force analysis, combined static-dynamic force analysis of machines, mass-equivalent mass systems, balancing concepts, balancing of rotating masses in single and multiple planes, static-dynamic balancing machines, balancing of incoming masses, multi-cylinder row motors, flywheel inspection and design are explained.
